Account Deletion Request

This page explains how to request the deletion of your Shiksho account and the personal information associated with it.

What gets deleted

When you submit an account deletion request, we will remove the following from our systems within 30 days:

  • Your account profile — name, email address, phone number
  • Your saved shipping and billing addresses
  • Your wishlist
  • Your saved cart
  • Your push notification token
  • Any customer support messages you have sent us

What we are legally required to keep

Iranian commercial and tax law requires us to retain records of completed transactions for 7 years. The following information cannot be deleted before that period expires:

  • Invoice records for orders you placed (order number, date, items, amount, payment outcome)
  • Shipping records required by carrier compliance

After the 7-year legal retention period ends, these records are also automatically deleted.

How to request deletion

To request that we delete your account, send an email from the email address registered to your Shiksho account to:

privacy@shiksho.co

Please include in your email:

  • Your full name as registered on the account
  • Your registered phone number (so we can verify identity)
  • A statement: “I request deletion of my Shiksho account and all associated personal data.”

We will:

  1. Reply within 3 business days to confirm we received your request and to verify your identity.
  2. Process the deletion within 30 days of verifying identity.
  3. Send you a final confirmation email when deletion is complete.

Alternative: in-app deletion (coming soon)

In a future update of the Shiksho app, you will be able to delete your account directly from Account → Settings → Delete Account without contacting us. Until that update is available, please use the email method above.

If you can’t access your account

If you’ve lost access to your registered email address, you can still request deletion. Email us from any address and include:

  • The registered phone number on your account
  • Your last order number (if you remember it)
  • A copy of a national ID matching the name on the account

We will verify your identity using these alternative methods before processing the deletion.
